Credit Cards
Personal credit cards are becoming more common in China. Banks and otherfinancial institutions are encouraging their customers to change the way theybuy things. Credit cards, otherwise known as “plastic money”, are being offeredon very good terms to encourage the change. Consumers will be able to “buy now,pay later”, and many see this as an advantage.
But people need to be careful. There are dangers associated with creditcards. Some people find it very easy to exceed their budget. They are tempted topurchase goods that they do not really need, and can become quickly overburdenedby debt. The credit cards often charge a high rate of interest, whichexacerbates the problems for these people.
However, used wisely credit cards can improve the quality of people’slives. They can give people access to money to meet sudden unplanned expenses.Properly handled, they can let people control their expenditure and the monthlystatements provide a record of where their money has gone.

On Card Slave
As people change the patterns of consumption, it is common for people tohave several cards. Then “Card slave” is coined. “Card slave” refers to peoplewho can only pay the minimum balance on their credit card debt every month. Manyyoungsters fall under the so-called card-slave category.
The reason behind “card slaves” varies. The fierce competition among banks,Chinese or foreign, encourages them to lure customers to hold more credit cards.Unfortunately, some card holders, especially youngsters with large shoppingaddictions and small salaries, have outstanding credit card debts and graduallybecame “card slaves” after reaching their credit card limit on luxury items. Dueto their meager salaries, they always live on the edge of bankruptcy.
In my opinion, people should manage their financial affairs. First, onlychoose the credit cards that suit you the most. Secondly, manage your cardsproperly. Get some good tips from internet and follow them. Thirdly, increaseincome and avoid excessive expenses. These tips will help you keep away from thedanger of becoming a “card slave”.
